First Nation School Board

Over the past few years, we’ve had the privilege of working on a range of projects for the First Nation School Board. Since late 2023, we’ve designed the layout for all of their newsletters, and we created the layout for the 2023 annual report, which featured trail illustrations of three generations walking together—a central theme of FNSB’s vision. We’ve also developed various supporting materials and other design work.

On the left side of this image is the cover of the 2023-24 Annual Report, featuring four images and an illustration of a winter scene. Next to it is a grid of four sample page spreads from the report, one with a set of infographics, one with a timeline, and two from later in the report that feature trail illustrations along the top (one is a summer scene and one is a winter scene) along with text and images.

This image features sample spreads from six different layout pages. Some feature full illustration elements with limited text, others are samples from part-way through a feature article, and others feature several images. Together, they show a range of colours and layout styles.

A group of five icon-style elements created by Design Station. The first is a yellow circle with tree ring texture and a multi-colour arrangement of the child element from the FNSB logo arranged around it, like a radiant sun. The other three all use the child element as well, paired with other elements and different brand colours as icons for each of FNSB's focus areas: Literacy, Land & Language, Whole Child, and Numeracy.

Some icons and elements we’ve created for FNSB using their logo and similar style elements to help expand their brand toolkit in a coherent way.
