It’s the tail end of the pandemic. People are beginning to move around again, but the performing arts are still trying to find a path forward as audiences remain limited. Debbie Peters and Margot Holmes, partners in the Maverick Cooperative (a co-marketing venture of their businesses, Magnum Opus Management and Caline Artists International) come up with an exciting initiative that features some northern performers: a series of concerts recorded in four venues between the Yukon, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories, and New Brunswick. It’s called Music from the Edges of Canada.
We decided to build the core marketing design and elements around geography with a geographical snippet from each province or territory that will be home to the performances. Each features a common colour palette and is designed so that each landscape snippet can interconnect as a horizontal or stacked set.
Some of the posters from the series, including an overall series poster that demonstrates one of the ways the illustrations could be linked.
In all, we delivered a series of posters, social media graphics, and some other supporting elements to help promote the concerts.
